On Friday November 16, 2018 Ms. Wong from Social Security called for an update on my son who is Autistic non verbal and 29 years old. I receive $323 and learned because I initially reported that I no longer receive child support. I wanted to know with this information if I was going to get my son’s benefit adjusted. I wanted to know what I had to do? If I needed to bring a notarized letter from my son’s dad or what? Ms. Wong was very unprofessional and said that my update wasn’t going to be adjusted. I called a 718 number and reported my concerns to a lovely woman who said that someone would call me, and no one has reached out to me. I have worked all of my life, and I am frustrated that SSI believes that I still obtain child support for a 29 year old. I just need to know what I have to do to obtain full SSI benefits for my son. I started to receive benefits when my son was 18. I didn’t qualify allegedly due to m income prior too.
